Born in Minnesota, raised in Northern California, and later moved to Los Angeles to attend UCLA.  Those that know me, know that my passions include traveling (I’ve been to the UK, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Ireland, Austria, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Hungary, Slovenia, Italy, Macedonia, Spain, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Hong Kong, the Philippines, Zambia, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Haiti, Dominican Republic, Canada, Mexico, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Nicaragua,…and all over the United States)  My goal is to someday travel to all 196 countries in the world.  Only 164 countries to go…

When I’m not in the classroom (or in another country), you can usually find me with my running shoes on (I’ve completed 26 or is it 27? full marathons) or with an incredible team of volunteers working on a service project in the community.

This is my 10th+ year at Hawthorne High School, and I cannot think of a more rewarding school to teach at or having a more appreciative and amazing group of students to be with.  Besides teaching Physics, I am the Rotary / Interact Club Faculty Advisor, Students Run LA (SRLA) Co-Leader, and the International Baccalaureate (IB) CAS Coordinator.

There are sooooo many positive things happening at Hawthorne High School, and I am extremely proud to be a part of it.  Go Cougars!  : )
