What is PBIS?
Positive Behavior Interventions and Support (PBIS) is a framework to support optimal student achievement (academic, behavior, social-emotional wellness) by utilizing a proactive Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) for creating and maintaining a safe and effective learning environment. At Hawthorne High School, PBIS is implemented through L.E.A.P.S.
What is the purpose of L.E.A.P.S.?
The purpose of L.E.A.P.S. is to establish a climate in which Leadership, Empathy, Achievement, Preparation, and Safety are the norm.
