- In this capstone course, students work in teams to design and develop an original solution to a valid open-ended technical problem by applying the engineering design process. Students perform research to choose, validate, and justify a technical problem. After carefully defining the problem, teams design, build, and test their solutions while working closely with industry professionals who provide mentoring opportunities. Finally, student teams present and defend their original solution to an outside panel. This course is appropriate for 11 and 12th grade students.

- I have introduced a few concepts with you. First is Open Ended Design. Please review this as this will be a basis for your grade in this class.
In you notebooks please list the items that will be required for you to complete to be successful.
- After you review the open ended design PDF. I would like you to keep looking at my flipboard magazine and search for interesting projects. I would like you to create your own magazine and update it through out the year. This should be used as an inspiration board for things to keep in maid as you search for a product to develop.
- I would also like you to start looking at designing a 2d/3d clock face for a standard anolog clock like the one on the wall.
I would like you to document in your notebook, what you would like to keep and what you would like to change about a standard clock face.
