Welcome to Principles of Engineering. We will be covering the basics of Engineering, including: What is an Engineer? What do they do? What inventions are the most interesting and most important inventions of our current time? What is a simple machine? We will also cover things such as control systems and programming. We will go on field trips... We will build lots of stuff, and generally, have a great time. I look forward to spending time with you this year. Mr. O

Closed Loop Programming
Create a machine that will rotate in a clockwise direction until a part of it contacts a switch, then reverse its direction until it contacts the switch again. It will then alternate between clockwise and counter clockwise, reversing direction each time it hits the switch.
Write a reflection of your experience that provides the following information:
1) What were you trying to do?
2) What did you have to figure out in order to make it happen?
3) what was the most frustrating part?
4) what did it feel like when you got it to work?
the reflective essay needs to be 3/4 to one page in length, either single or double spaced.

I'm out sick. I'll be back in a day or so, but here is what you need to do.
Open and Print the attached Microsoft Word File. You are to draw each of these parts, and save them on Thawspace in the folder for your period. Save them with the name of the part and your initials (eg. ISO 2 MR.O.)
If you have trouble, ask for help from one of your classmates. Those of you who had Mr. Takamoto last year need to help your fellow classmates with this.
Get as many done as you can...
