Welcome to AVID! By sitting here today, you have already made one of the most important decisions that will provide you with the resources necessary to make sure that you take advantage of your high school years in preparation for college. The goal of the AVID program is to teach you the skills to be the most successful in high school and make sure you know what colleges will be looking for in THREE short years when it is time to apply!

AVID Extra Credit Opportunity (30 Points each)

  • Find a team building activity that you believe would be beneficial to our AVID class. Print the directions to the activity and attach a 3 paragraph summary discussing:

–1. What is the activity?

–2. What values do you think it will teach your fellow AVID mates?

–3. How will this activity benefit the values of AVID as a program?

Community Service Hours!

Students and Parents, please note that per the AVID program, 25 hours of community service are required PER SEMESTER.
