A Message from Hawthorne High's Principal

Welcome to Hawthorne High School.

Our Administrative Team remains deeply committed to the mission and vision of Hawthorne High School—to provide a safe, inclusive, and rigorous learning environment where every student graduates academically competitive, self-reliant, and prepared for college, career, and life beyond high school.

As instructional leaders, we are honored to lead Hawthorne High School and continue its strong legacy by building meaningful relationships with students, staff, families, and the greater community. We remain focused on ensuring that all students have access to high-quality instruction, strong academic supports, and opportunities to grow both academically and personally.

We are incredibly proud of our students for their continued hard work, resilience, and commitment to strong academics, consistent attendance, and positive behavior. Each day, our students demonstrate Hawthorne’s character pillars—L.E.A.P.S.: Leadership, Empathy, Achievement, Preparation, and Safety—and we are grateful to be part of such a dedicated Cougar community.

Our school day continues to operate on a consistent schedule with six class periods daily. Students are expected to arrive on time, ready to learn, and prepared with charged Chromebooks. In addition to academic expectations, students are encouraged to treat one another with respect, contribute positively to our campus culture, and demonstrate responsible digital citizenship.

Hawthorne High School offers a wide range of supports to ensure student success, including tutoring, the Media Center, Wellness Center, and the College and Career Center. We strongly encourage students to take advantage of these resources and to become involved in extracurricular activities, athletics, and leadership opportunities that enrich the high school experience.

Family partnership remains a critical component of student success. We value open communication and collaboration with parents and guardians and encourage a strong home-school relationship grounded in shared goals for student learning and well-being. Your trust and support allow us to better serve our students and continuously improve our school community.

Thank you for being part of Hawthorne High School. Our doors are always open, and we welcome your feedback and engagement as we continue working together to support our students’ growth and achievement. Go Cougars!
