Steps for completing the FAFSA: 
  1. Create a FSA ID for the student using a social security # not an ITIN
  2. Create a FSA ID for the parent using a social security # not an ITIN 
  3. Collect 2019 tax returns that should have been processed in the spring of 2020.
  4. Login to your CCGI account then click on Financial aid, and then click on FAFSA, and then click on launch FAFSA.
  5. Once you are on the FAFSA website, login using the student's FSA ID go to the 2021-2022 year
 
 
*If you have a valid Social Security # but your parents/guardians do not have a valid SS# then skip STEP 2 above.
**If you do not have a valid Social Security # please click on the link below that reads California Dream Act.

To apply for the Dream Act  please click on the link below. Be sure to have your 2019 tax and financial information ready in order to complete the application.

The Centinela Valley Union High School District will automatically submit every Hawthorne High School's seniors' GPA using their State Student ID# as an identifier.  Students will not need to fill out an application but will need to create their Webgrant account once they receive a letter from CSAC.
