ELD (English Language Development) Newcomer students will participate in a special "Gratitude" themed event at the cafeteria designed to foster a sense of community among students. The day will feature a series of activities, including a guest speaker, reading and annotating a gratitude article, a writing workshop, and a Socratic seminar or philosophical chairs discussion. Additionally, a key component of the event will be a community-building activity where students are encouraged to share snacks, desserts, or candy from their home countries, providing an opportunity for cultural exchange and connection.
