SME PRIME ALCOA Partnership

Here at Hawthorne High School we are proud to announce a new partnership within our PRIME Program. Alcoa Inc. through the Alcoa Foundation has made a significant investment with the SME Education Foundation to support programs like ours that have a focus on manufacturing. This partnership will bring a formal joint venture between industry and education, by offering our students a direct link to the workforce with field trips to Alcoa manufacturing plants, guest industry speakers, mentorships, job shadowing and potential internships.
We are currently in a pilot phase with Alcoa Fastener Systems in Carson, CA. This phase will help determine how each we will be working together to benefit both the students at Hawthorne High School and Alcoa Inc.
