The CVUHSD monthly Board Meeting will be held on Tuesday, June 23rd, 2026 at the CVUHSD Board Room. Open Session begins at 5:00pm.

The week of February 2–6 is School Counselor Appreciation Week. This week we encourage our school community to take time to recognize and thank the incredible counseling team at Hawthorne High School.

Our counselors play a vital role in supporting students academically, socially, and emotionally. Their dedication, care, and commitment help guide our students every day as they navigate high school and plan for their futures. We are grateful for the time, compassion, and support they provide to our entire Cougar community.

Students and families, come celebrate our scholars who received a 3.0 or above on Tuesday February 24th @ 5:00pm in the Cafeteria for Grades 9 & 10 and Thursday February 26th for Grades 11 & 12. You received a personalized email if you achieved Honor Roll status for Semester 1 in Fall 2025.

Hawthorne Football will open the new Halcap Field for our first home game of the 2025 season and the first game in the new facilities. Kickoff is at 7 pm. Buy your ticket before and avoid lines at the gate! Freshmen, show your ID for free entry! Check your email.
